Bradford sign Hull man

Hull FC can confirm that Masi Matongo has joined Bradford Bulls on a short-term loan deal as he continues his comeback from long-term injury.

The forward recently returned to full training following a knee injury and will now continue his comeback on loan with the Betfred Championship club where he hopes to earn some much-needed game time on his return to full fitness.

The 25-year-old has played just five times since the start of the 2020 season after unfortunate luck with injuries, but could feature for the first time this weekend when Bradford take on York City Knights.

The Bulls, coached by former Hull FC boss John Kear, are currently fourth in the Championship table and were recently dual registration partners with the Black & Whites.

Hull FC head coach Brett Hodgson said: “We’re really pleased to have Masi back from his long-term injury – he’s worked tirelessly over the course of the year to get himself back fit and in a position to be playing again.

“His game time has been limited over the last year or so due to some cruel luck with injuries, so this is a good opportunity for him to play and get some much-needed minutes under his belt as he works his way back to full fitness.”
