Bradford given Flanagan boost

Bradford Bulls hooker George Flanagan will be back sooner than expected, after learning  he could knock two games off his ban in pre-season.

The hooker was given an eight-match suspension for an ‘attack to the testicles’ on Hakim Miloudi during their 25-20 loss against Toronto Wolfpack at Odsal.

He has already served three matches of this ban, but will now be back two weeks earlier than expected.

Flanagan told the Bradford Telegraph and Argus: “I spoke to the RFL a few weeks ago and they said you could take off two friendlies.

“Obviously, the Challenge Cup starts a little bit earlier this year as well so that will be another one.

“It’s not too bad and I’ll be fit and ready for whenever my ban is up.”

It is a welcome boost for the Bulls as they prepare to start life away from the city. They will find out their fixture schedule on Sunday when they are released.
