Yesterday it was announced by the Leigh Leopards that Kane Daniels had joined the club from the Bradford Bulls to become Head of Performance.
This development is now being referred to as a major “blow” by the Telegraph and Argus with the Bulls losing a key member of their backroom staff on the eve of a new season.
It is unclear if the club have someone lined up to replace the former Hull KR and Huddersfield Giants man as he leaves the club to join the Leopards.
Speaking on the club’s official website, he said: “That’s looking after the gym-based programmes, all the stuff on the field, in terms of the conditioning, the speed, the plyometrics, the recovery and the general periodisation of the weeks and months during the season.
“I’ve come in at a time where quite a bit of the foundations have already been done for the year, so it’s a case of building upon that and hopefully having a successful 2024 season.”
“I think they’re referring to me as Vin Diesel, but you might not be able to see that while I’m wearing my hat during this interview.
“It’s good, because you need that camaraderie at a club and a new practitioner into the building, it’s good to get that going straight away off the bat really.”
