According to reports, Bradford Bulls’ Odsal Stadium could be set for a massive change.
Odsal has always doubled as a rugby pitch and a racing track which has created its fair share of issues in the past including the red shale that has been a cause for frustration among fans.
However, according to the Game Caller, this could be about to end with Startrax Racing moving to concrete racing whilst Speedway is not set to return. The commentator has said that this would be a positive step for both parties.
Speaking of positive steps, Bradford Bulls have also announced the appointment of Lifelong fan, 38 year old, Philip Sharp to the club’s Board of Directors.
Upon his appointment, Philip said; “I am delighted to join the Board of Directors and become an owner of this incredible club; it’s been an ambition of mine as a lifelong supporter.
“My passion for the Bulls was inspired by my late grandfather, Keith Sharp, who played for the club in the 50’s, and remained a loyal fan until he passed away in 2021.
“Becoming an investor was a simple decision, having got to know the members of the Board recently. The club is a sleeping giant and is being run by knowledgeable, devoted people who are all aligned in their ambition, to get the club back to where it belongs and it’s an honour and privilege to join that journey.
“I hope to bring my skills and experience as a local business owner and look forward to working with the Board in shaping the future of the Club at such an exciting time. Come on you Bulls!!!”
Bulls CEO Jason Hirst added: “On behalf of everyone at the Bulls, I’d like to warmly welcome Philip onto the club’s Board of Directors. His appointment further strengthens the Board and ownership group. He has specifically chosen to join the club at this time as a direct result of the club’s vastly improved 2023 performance, not only on the field of play, but also off the field, in terms of increased investment, sponsorship and financial stability.
“As another longstanding fan, his undoubted passion for the club and business acumen will, undoubtedly, strengthen the club and it’s more great news ahead of the upcoming 2024 season.”
