Bradford Bulls reporter fears attack after supporter breaks into commentary box during LIVE stream

Yes, you have read that correctly.

A Bradford Bulls reporter has been forced to apologise after a supporter BROKE INTO a commentary box during a LIVE stream in yesterday’s fixture at Odsal.

The Bulls ended up winning that fixture against Workington Town, 48-18, but those tuning into West Yorkshire Radio Rugby League will have been alarmed to a specific minute during that game that will likely be forever remembered by those involved.

Bradford reporter, The Game Caller, commentates on Bradford home and away games, but he took to social media giant Twitter to reveal his horror at what went on.

He tweeted: “In my 13 seasons of covering live #RugbyLeague on the radio, I’ve never experienced a supporter breaking into the commentary box to ask for the air conditioning unit to be turned down. Apologies for any profanities you may have heard earlier today.”

Of course, the Bulls have not exactly been breaking any pots in 2022 with supporters rightly frustrated, but to break into someone’s commentary box to complain about an air conditioning unit is scary to say the least.

And, live on air, The Game Caller said: “There’s something kicking off here, I’m not sure what’s going on. I do apologise.

“I apologise for the interruption. It is live radio. I do apologise for this. There’s an intruder in the commentary box.”

The intruder was heard saying: “can you turn this air con unit off? It’s making a f****g racket.”

The West Yorkshire club will not qualify for the Championship play-offs in 2022 with head coach Mark Dunning planning a big rebuild for the 2023 season.

A large number of players are expected to leave with an influx of new signings expected through the door at Odsal as the club prepares for post-John Kear life.
