Bradford Bulls man makes Championship switch after almost a decade at Odsal

Sam Hallas has signed with a new club in the Championship following his exit from Bradford Bulls after almost a decade at the club.

Hallas came through the Leeds Rhinos academy, making a total of four appearances before joining Bradford Bulls, initially on loan, before the deal was made permanent.

In total, he’d make 166 appearances for the Odsal club over two stints, having left midway through the 2022 season to sign with Newcastle. Hallas then linked up with Hunslet for the 2023 season before returning to Bradford in 2024, eventually playing a total of 10 Super League games this past year.

His exit was confirmed at the end of July with Guy Armitage, Dan Russell, Mitch Souter, Joe Keyes, Chris Atkin and Ed Chamberlain also announced to depart, whilst Phoenix Steindwede and Riley Dean have since also left – the latter of whom has joined Halifax Panthers.

Hallas departed the Bulls as their most-experienced player and that experience will now head to Dewsbury, with the Rams confirming his signing for the 2027 season.
