Five permanent arrivals and three loans – looking at Bradford Bulls’ eight Super League signings for 2022

Bradford Bulls revealed a ‘Meet the Signings’ feature on their website today, outlining their 13 recruits ahead of the 2022 Championship season.

Amongst them are five Super League signings many of whom are exciting youngsters poached from the most exciting academies in the top flight as well as

Coby Nichol

Coby Nichol is an aggressive, tall three-quarter who came through the Scholarship and Academy ranks at Leeds Rhinos.

He has penned a one-year deal to join the Bulls – and brings experience of playing for England Youth against France.

AJ Wallace

AJ – like Coby Nichol – joins the Bulls on a one year deal from Leeds Rhinos.

He also featured against France for England Youth in 2019, but AJ features in the middle or the back row.

Dec Patton

The 2019 Challenge Cup winner signed a one-year deal to join the Bulls from Super League outfit Salford Red Devils.

The 26-year-old broke through the ranks at Warrington Wolves and spent six years at ‘The Wire’ before joining Salford Red Devils in 2021.

Patton also boasts an excellent goalkicking record, having kicked 142 goals in 108 games at Warrington – and scored in the 2016 Super League Grand Final.

The halfback will link up with fellow playmakers Jordan Lilley, Billy Jowitt and Charlie Harris in 2022.

Charlie Harris

Harris came through the Scholarship and Academy system at Castleford Tigers before penning a one-year deal having impressed for the Tigers’ Academy side in both fixtures against Bradford in 2021.

The skilful youngster is the fourth half-back in John Kear’s ranks, alongside Dec Patton, Jordan Lilley and Billy Jowitt.

Samy Kibula

The 22-year-old was a member of Wigan’s Academy side that enjoyed Grand Final success in 2017 and 2018.

Leeds Rhinos’ trio Corey Johnson, Jarrod O’Connor and Muizz Mustapha will join the Bulls on loan for the start of the 2022 season.
