Bradford Bulls announce the signing of three Leeds Rhinos players

Bradford Bulls have announced the loan signings of Muizz Mustapha, Corey Johnson and Jarrod O’Connor from Leeds Rhinos ahead of the 2022 Championship season.

O’Connor and Mustapha both featured in the 2021 play-Off semi-finals – with Leeds and Hull KR respectively – with Johnson running out for York during a loan spell last season.

In addition, Bradford will host Leeds R at Odsal on Sunday 23rd January, kick off 3pm at Odsal as part of both clubs’ pre-season schedule.

O’Connor had been linked with Bradford for the past few weeks, with him initially revealing to Serious About Rugby League that he wanted to stay and fight for a place at Leeds.

“I’m going to see how pre-season goes first, I would much rather fight for my place at Leeds than go out on-loan as I’m a Leeds player,” O’Connor told Serious About Rugby League.

“Going out on-loan is in the back of my mind at the minute as I want to get in the Leeds team and nail down a starting spot at Headingley.”

However, that starting spot at Headingley looks to have been taken away – for 2022 at least as he joins John Kear’s promotion push.
