Bradford Bulls 20-man squad named as 12 new signings set to face Leeds Rhinos

Bradford Bulls boss Kurt Haggerty has named a strong squad ahead of this weekend’s friendly clash with Leeds Rhinos.

Bradford make the short journey to Headingley this weekend for a clash that will act as a testimonial game for the Rhinos’ Cameron Smith. As such, Leeds head coach Brad Arthur has named his strongest available team and the Bulls will match them up with something close to theirs, it seems.

Haggerty has named a 20-man squad and that includes 12 of their new signings. As such, there will be plenty of interest in the game from a Bulls perspective, with fans of the newly promoted side keen to see how they fare in their first real test since being awarded a spot in the top flight.

Leon Ruan, Eribe Doro, Brandon Douglas, Loghan Lewis, Dan Russell and Ryan Sutton will all feature in a new look pack for the Bulls and they’ll be keen to impress at Headingley.

Jayden Nikorima looks set to play in the halves alongside Joe Keyes, while Connor Wynne, Ethan Ryan, Esan Marsters, Luke Hooley and Caleb Aekins are the new faces pushing for a spot in what looks to be a threatening back line alongside the likes of Waqa Blake and Jayden Okunbor, who are no strangers to Super League.

It promises to be an intriguing encounter and after watching his side see off Doncaster a fortnight ago at the Eco-Power Stadium, Haggerty will be keen to see progress made in West Yorkshire this week.
