Blake Ferguson opens up on future beyond Leigh Centurions deal

Blake Ferguson has not ruled out a return to the NRL at the end of the 2022 season.

Having been signed by Leigh Centurions on a short-term deal, the former Parramatta Eels and Canberra Raiders star will be thrust straight into action by head coach Adrian Lam as his Leigh side attempt to gain promotion to Super League.

Ferguson has been tasked with helping to do that, but he remains off-contract at the end of the year and has spoken about that to the Daily Telegraph

“I am only looking at the next six months,” Ferguson told the paper.

“I have that time in England and I don’t know what will happen after that.

“I won’t say no to the NRL and I still think I have the ability to play at that level. But it all depends on what happens next.

“My family comes first now so my decision will be based on what is best for them.”
