Bizarre moment as Super League player nearly jumps over the top of pile in

Hull KR and Salford Red Devils do have some history together and their Challenge Cup clash has been a feisty one.

The temperatures boiled in one interesting moment in the second 40 as Mikey Lewis desperately dragged down Deon Cross.

The centre threatened to break clear but Lewis held on but was penalised for a high tackle.

However, Cross took exception to the tackle and to two went head to head in the latest fiery exchange.

Ryan Hall had to drag Lewis away from the altercation but the strangest moment of this altercation was when Amir Bourouh flung himself into the pile in leaping almost over the top of everyone.

He was subsequently addressed by referee Ben Thaler for the action but wasn’t punished for it with the penalty given for Lewis’ head high tackle.

The Red Devils are up against it trailing 18-4.

They conceded tries to Ryan Hall, Tanguy Zenon and Kane Linnett in the first half and were trailing 18-0 at the break.

They scored the first try of the second 40 through Tim Lafai giving themselves hope.

But they have yet to find another try.

Bourouh has given them some energy and Paul Rowley will hope he can spark a key attacking move.
