Big George Williams decision made

It is another huge weekend of Super League action as Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves collide in the game of the round, Leeds Rhinos host Hull KR in a huge game in the pay-off race and St Helens and Catalans Dragons meet in a huge game at the top.

But there is no getting away from that big fixture as the two teams in fourth and fifth battle it out knowing that this game could have a huge impact on their Old Trafford and Grand Final chances.

Why? Because if this game settles who finishes fourth and fifth then the victor will have the home advantage come the play-offs.

Both sides have gone through in different spells and both arrive on the back of defeats.

It is a vital game for both and especially the Warriors as they look ahead to the Challenge Cup semi-finals.

The team news is now in and Matt Peet has made two changes to his 21-man squad for this Fridayโ€™s game. Kaide Ellis returns from suspension, whilst Kai Pearce-Paul also returns to the squad following a long injury lay-off. Ethan Havard and Tom Forber drop out.

As for Warrington, the big question was always going to be around the fitness of George Williams.

Williams suffered a hamstring injury on the eve of Warrington’s clash with Castleford Tigers which they went on to lose at the Jungle.

They have struggled without him. Making matters worse, Josh Drinkwater was injured prior so it has been weeks since the two partnered for the Wolves as their season begins to stall.

Well, after Drinkwater’s recent return, George Williams is named in the squad and is expected to feature against his former club at his old stomping ground.

They are also boosted by the return of Sam Kasiano from suspension and the return of Matty Nicholson.
