Big decisions made on Luke Gale and David Fifita as one left out

Day Two of the Magic Weekend kickstarts with a clash between two teams many expected to be meeting in a relegation four pointer in Newcastle United’s St James’ Park.

This is of course the clash between Leigh Leopards and Wakefield Trinity.

Leigh are in red hot form and are well in the mix where the play-offs are concerned.

They even defeated league leaders Warrington Wolves last week and thus go into this game as heavy favourites.

Meanwhile, Wakefield are yet to win a game and are still struggling for points in attack.

That will need to change if they are to beat a Leigh side who have already beaten them comfortably twice this season.

The team news is now in ahead of this clash and the big news is that David Fifita is in line to make his debut wearing the number 40 jersey.

The same can be said of returning Isaac Shaw and Sam Hewitt who is back at the club on loan from Huddersfield Hiants.

Remarkably they could all debut before Luke Gale who continues to be absent as confirmed yesterday by Mark Applegarth through a groin injury.

Leigh meanwhile have named a very strong squad for the clash.

Of their first 13 squad numbers they are only missing Joe Wardle and Jack Hughes.
