Big decision made on John Bateman

There has been a lot of talk about John Bateman in recent weeks with the former Wigan Warriors back-row not making his Wests Tigers debut yet after his move to Australia was delayed by police checks and visa issues.

Some even suggested that he had a hidden injury that the club were covering up.

But now he has been named in their squad for this weekend’s clash with Canterbury Bulldogs.

He isn’t in the first 17 but is inside the squad and could therefore feature.

His former Wigan teammate Oliver Gildart is again left out by the Dolphins.

After his fiery clash last week, another former Warrior and a former Man of Steel with former Salford Red Devils man Jackson Hastings is set to play.
