Big Challenge Cup clash still in doubt due to weather

Bradford Bulls Odsal

Bradford Bulls’ Challenge Cup clash with York Acorn this afternoon is still in doubt after Friday’s snow.

The Bulls called on assistance on Friday to help get the pitch ready for the game today and they are still asking fans for their support to clear the pitch this morning ahead of the game at 15:00.

They don’t have long with a pitch inspection due at 11:30.

Thus the club have called for shovels and wheelbarrows.

Meanwhile, Dewsbury Rams have confirmed that their game against Rochdale Hornets will definitely go ahead.

Sheffield Eagles and Siddal will meet today after their game was postponed to today whilst Newcastle Thunder’s clash with Ashton Golding’s Stanningley was also moved to today due to a frozen pitch/

Originally set to kick off at 13:00 it was moved forward to 12:00 due to a need for medical staff in attendance under the RFL guidelines.

On Friday night every Super League game went ahead despite the freezing temperatures as well as the snow.

Leeds Rhinos defeated Wakefield Trinity with snow seen shovelled to the sides of the pitch whilst Huddersfield Giants also beat Castleford Tigers, Warrington Wolves defeated Hull KR and Leigh Leopards stunned Champions St Helens at Leigh Sports Village.
