Benji Marshall’s future for 2022 has yet to be decided with the veteran admitting that he would not go on the lookout for a new club a she did in 2020.
The halfback was the target of intense media speculation about his future this time last year, with his spell at Wests being cut short despite some great performances towards the back end of the season.
Marshall had actually been linked with a move to Super League side Hull FC before signing on the dotted line for South Sydney. And, his experience for the Rabbitohs has been a blessing as the club turns the screw on the rest of the NRL competition to sit third on the ladder – just two points behind leaders Melbourne.
The 36-year-old veteran this time around has said that he will not be the one going out on a limb to ship around for offers. Instead others will have to come to him.
