Ben Thaler not happy with this in Hull KR and Salford clash as he dresses down star

In sports like football there is often a suggestion players don’t respect the officials.

Well Ben Thaler was certainly not going to take any disrespect today as he took charge of the Challenge Cup clash between Hull KR and Salford Red Devils.

There was a feisty altercation between the two sets of players after a big hit by Dean Hadley.

Oliver Partington took exception to it and the two pushed each other and then Tyler Dupree got involved – he has ironically been linked with a move to Hull KR.

Thaler wasn’t having any of it. He called Hadley and Dupree in and gave them a dressing down.

To the Hull KR forward, Thaler said: “It’s been reviewed and there’s no foul play. I don’t need you getting involved.

He then turned to Dupree and said: “And it’s the same with you.”

Dupree started to defend himself and Thaler went full teacher mode: “Um, am I talking? I am. I don’t need you getting involved either.

“It has been reviewed and there’s no foul play.”

Shortly after, Hull KR added to their lead with a brilliant try for debutant Tanguy Zenon after a one-two with Tom Opacic.
