Batley tie up deals for hooker pairing

Batley have signed experienced hooker Ben Kaye ahead of the 2021 season, whilst also securing the services of Alistair Leak.

Kaye is currently without a club having been released by Halifax at the end of 2019 but will now link up with the Bulldogs when the Championship gets back underway.

The 31-year-old adds plenty of experience to Craig Lingard’s side, having played over 200 games during spells at Leeds, London, Featherstone and ‘Fax.

Leak joined the club in 2013 and has been a prominent figure since, making the no.9 shirt his own and becoming a pillar of consistency in the side.

The pair become the fifth and sixth members of the Batley squad for 2021, joining Jodie Broughton, James Brown, Dane Manning and Keegan Hirst.
