Batley snap up Wakefield fullback

Batley Bulldogs have strengthened their squad further ahead of 2020, with the signing of Wakefield fullback Luke Hooley.

The 21-year-old was one of seven players released by Trinity at the end of this season but will now link up Craig Lingard’s side.

Despite not making a single appearance for Wakefield, Hooley has Championship experience after featuring for Dewsbury on loan earlier this year, as well as in 2017, making a total of 18 appearances.

He’s also had three spells on dual registration with Oldham, scoring 10 tries in 22 games.

He becomes the Bulldogs’ second new signing for 2020, following the capture of halfback Ben White from Barrow.
