It is always great sadness when someone so respected within the sporting fraternity passes away.
That has happened this afternoon with Barrow Raiders Ladies’ assistant coach, Alex Broadhead, sadly passing away with the club giving their condolences on social media.
The club posted on Facebook: “It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of our Women’s Super League assistant coach, Alex Broadhead. A more likeable person you would struggle to meet. Out thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
Our Ladies fixture versus Leigh Miners Welfare on Sunday will be played in his memory.”
