Back to form Leeds 9/4 to win at Saints

Super League returns to Sky after the World Club Challenge and Friday night rugby sees a Leeds side ,that actually played last week , travel to St Helens .

A certain amount of optimism has set in at Headingley given the sides last 2 performances .
The Rhinos were very poor in week one , getting comfortably beaten by Warrington, but they started well at Wigan before decisions started going against them and last week won convincingly at Salford ( who had won their 1st 2 games ) .

This week Leeds take on another side who are 2 from 2 , title joint favourites Saints .
A good win over Wigan in week one was followed by a battling win over Wakefield before they had last week off .
For me at this early stage teams would rather play than having a week off so Leeds could have a slight advantage . The Rhinos are 9:4 with Betfred to win the game , but whilst I think that may be just beyond them I do think they can stay inside the 8 point handicap in what could be a tight game . The new signings are starting to settle here now and I do expect improvement from
Leeds now but Saints are one of the 2 best teams in the league and are justified favourites at around 1/3 . They looked very strong in week one against Wigan , where the scoreline flattered Adrian Lam’s side .

Makinson and Hurrell would be my 1st try picks at 9 and 18/1 respectively.

Finally the man of the match , it’s impossible to ignore Saints legend Roby here , he is the best player on the pitch and a justified 4/1 favourite . As for Leeds I’d look to 20/1 shot Strevie Ward .

More super league next week, as always please gamble responsibly
