Australian commentator calls on RFL to ensure Cumbrian club is in Super League

Legendary Australian commentator Andrew Voss is in the UK and loving getting a taste for British rugby league.
Working for the BBC to commentate of the Rugby League World Cup, Vossy has also taken a tour of the other stadiums across England visiting Wakefield Trinity, Castleford Tigers, Bradford Bulls, Batley Bulldogs, Dewsbury Rams and Hunslet.
He returned to Warrington Wolves this week to see the Brian Bevan statue before heading to Cumbria, a rugby league hot bed which has produced some stars of Super League like former Super League Champions St Helens star Kyle Amor and Wigan Warriors man and ex-Leeds Rhinos prop Brad Singleton.
However, they still have no team in Super League and Voss has called for this to change.
He took to Twitter to say: “I am convinced of one thing after my visit today, Cumbria needs & deserves some representation in the Super League. Embrace the area Workington Town, Whitehaven, Barrow Raiders and Carlisle at the highest level in the UK.
“Hey RFL, you know it’s right.”

Recently one of the best players who was shining over in Cumbria has made the switch to Super League.
That is Tee Ritson who left Barrow Raiders to join Super League Champions St Helens to battle it out with Jon Bennison over the wing spot.
It is a reminder of the quality over in Cumbria. After all the defeated Jamaica prior to the Rugby League World Cup.
