Ash Handley confirms harrowing injuries suffered during 2021

Ash Handley has taken to Instagram to show his frustrations with his 2021 season.

The Leeds Rhinos winger listed a number of injuries and problems that he has suffered this year, with an MCL, two groin tears, concussion, COVID-19 isolation and broken ribs all part of a stop-start season for him.

It proved to be a stop-start season overall for the Rhinos, with a number of stellar performances towards the back end of the season ensuring a top six play-offs position when it looked doubtful for much of the year.

However, Leeds’ season was ended in emphatic fashion by eventual Super League Grand Final winners St Helens, but preparations have already begun in an attempt to go one better in 2021.

Head coach Richard Agar has strengthened his side considerably with the likes of Aidan Sezer, Blake Austin and James Bentley all joining the club, though Konrad Hurrell, Callum McLelland and King Vuniyayawa have exited.
