Appointments confirmed for Super League openers

The countdown to the restart of the Super League has hit another milestone, as the referees for the two matches this week have been announced.
The first match sees St Helens take on Catalans Dragons at 4.15pm, with Ben Thaler taking charge. It is Thaler’s first match since returning from suspension prior to the country going into lockdown.
It is Thaler’s first match since the season opener between Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC on 2nd February.
Meanwhile, the video referee will be James Child.
Soon after, Leeds Rhinos take on Huddersfield Giants at 6.30pm. Robert Hicks will take charge of this one, with Chris Kendall as the video assistant.
