It is that time of year where Super League clubs are being linked with signings for next year.
That is true of Leeds Rhinos who have recently been linked with a move for Wakefield Trinity halfback Mason Lino.
Both Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer are off contract at the end of the season.
However, when asked about the reported interest, Mark Applegarth such down the suggestion that Lino could be Headingley bound hinting that Lino could be set to sign a new deal among others.
“There’s nothing in it that I know of,” he said on BBC Radio Leeds.
“I’ve got a really good relationship with Mason. I think there’ll be some good news over the next two or three days in regards to some of the players that are out contract.
“I know it seems like there’s a load of negative press coming out but there has been a lot of work happening behind the scenes on getting that culture where we want it, the players that we’ve identified that will be key to that.
“Mason Lino is obviously a key part of that.”
There has also been a suggestion that Lino could be a target of Wigan Warriors with Cade Cust out of contract. However, it seems Lino will stay at Belle Vue.
