Another Wigan Warriors player leaves on loan

Toulouse Olympique XIII have announced the arrival of solid 19-year-old English stalwart Harvie Hill on loan from Super League club Wigan Warriors for one month.

Born in 2003 Harvie started playing rugby league at the age of 7, he was then spotted by Warriors scouts during the national under-14 cup between his club in the North West of the country, Hensingham who faced Wigan St Patricks. He then joined the Warriors academy where he continued to make his ranges. In 2021 he was elected “Player of the Academy” of Wigan which allowed him to integrate the first team and to start in Super League last August against Hull KR, then to represent his country last autumn with the England Knights.

For this 2023 season, the young Warriors forward has already been loaned to the London Broncos where he has played 4 games since the beginning of the season, including 1 start. Here is now a new opportunity to continue his apprenticeship with the Toulouse squad.

Hill has already set foot on Toulouse soil, so he is available for the next trip to Sheffield which awaits the Olympians this Saturday, March 25. Here is a reinforcement that comes at the right time for the TO who are happy to welcome a new player from Wigan.

“We would like to thank the management of Wigan for releasing Harvie. We have always had a good relationship with the Warriors and this loan confirms that. Harvie is full of promise arrives in a perspective of reinforcement to compensate for absences due to current injuries. I can’t wait to see Harvie bring all his passion to the service of the club,” Said Bernard Sarrazain, who is the President of the club.
