Another Ireland World Cup star keen to make NRL impression after reports about Leeds Rhinos star

Ireland Rugby League World Cup star Harry O’Kane has reportedly made an NRL switch swapping the Wests Tigers for the Cronulla Sharks in 2023.

This is because he is said to be keen on forcing his way into the NRL. The 20-year-old has a strong build and didn’t look out of place of Ireland during the tournament.

This has been confirmed by the Mole of Wide World of Sports who revealed he will do some work over the summer down under with the Sharks and then play lower grade rugby in a bid to climb the ranks at the club.

He is not the only Irish international who has recently been making headlines with regards to an ambition to make it in the NRL.

Recently, following his reported bust up with England and NRL star Victor Radley, it was reported down under that Leeds Rhinos star was keen on a move to the NRL hoping to show that he could match the best of the best down under.

The Mole even enquired to see if there as interest with one coach acknowledging the calibre of the player but being unsure of his discipline.

Bentley is contracted to the Rhinos for the 2023 season having signed a two-year deal in 2021 when he left St Helens.

However, he could very well make the move to the NRL in 2024.
