Last week Castleford Tigers picked up their first win of the season against Leeds Rhinos.
It was a gutsy display against their bitter rivals and embodied the character interim Head Coach Andy Last has worked to introduce into the squad after their poor start to the season.
The Tigers are still looking for their permanent replacement for Lee Radford after he left after three games.
Last though has been open about wanting the job full time but
“Little brief chats basically just keeping me in the loop with regards to the process that they’re going through.
“They are still taking applications and doing their due diligence with regards to those applicants, there are plenty of applicants who have put their names in.
“They need to have a look at them and verify them and make sure they’re of the right quality and in that time where they are checking what’s coming in I just have to keep working with this group week to week and leading the staff and hope the performance showcases what I’m doing.
“The time will come when I sit down with them but until then I will focus on things week to week.”
