Andy Last questions Adam Milner ban

10 players have been charged by the match review panel with Sam Kasiano and Adam Milner charged twice.

Both of Milner’s offences saw him pick up one match bans whilst only one of Kasiano’s was punished with a ban meaning Milner misses the next two games and Kasiano misses one.

Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds, interim Castleford Tigers coach Andy Last questioned the ban somewhat:

“The attacking the ball player when he’s released, all teams try and put pressure on the ball player because they can obviously unpick you.

“Matt Dufty is a real run threat, I think he carried the ball into the line and Adam did hit him. We were penalised for it, the resulting penalty they scored off the back of it so sometimes you feel as though that’s punishment enough.

“The decision makers have obviously gone down the route of needing to protect the ball players which I agree with, then Adam suffers the consequence not only once but twice in the same game.”

He also said the defeat hit his side’s confidence a bit:

“Their confidence, bit down and disappointed after performing poorly at home after the good performance the week prior.

“It was a difficult game to review.”
