Leeds Rhinos are already coming in for a lot of criticism tonight.
The Rhinos were stunned by neighbours Castleford Tigers for the second time this season to conclude Magic Weekend Game One.
The Rhinos were heavy favourites against the side in 11th despite some injuries and Leeds fans won’t be happy.
However, Castleford Tigers coach Andy Last paid credit to the Rhinos after the game on Sky Sports implying that he feels sorry for them with the adversity they are currently facing:
“I want to pay credit to the Leeds Rhinos. They’re facing a lot of adversity. But as a club, they have the backs to the wall and they’re competing really, really hard for 80 minutes.”
Last, understandably, gave a shout out to the Tigers fans.
They were incredibly loud and there were 2,000 of them in attendance today after the club sold an impressive number of tickets for the event.
Last said:
“I want to give a big shout out, you know, we’ve got over 2,000 fans here today and the fact that they’re sticking with us, you know, for this really, really tough time, that result was for them sticking with us. That result was for them so big shout out to our travelling army.”
