An opportunity they cannot miss – Wigan Warriors’ New Year’s Resolution

The new year is just days away and with it will come a new Super League season just seven weeks into the beginning of the latest chapter of human history.

A new year is a time when everyone looks to make a new start and make a change as they begin a new year.

This is why we get New Year’s Resolutions every year from so many people.

This desire for a new start shouldn’t be restricted to people though and could very well apply to Super League clubs.

So, what should Wigan Warriors resolution be going into 2023?

Last year the Warriors really should have returned to the Grand Final.

They were unbeaten in the league at home, had the best attack in the competition and arguably the league’s two best players in Jai Field and Bevan French.

They won the Challenge Cup and should have had a crack at the double but fell short of Old Trafford.

Thus, in 2023 they absolutely have to make their way to the Grand Final. Out of every team in Super League, the Warriors are the team best placed to dethrone rivals St Helens and in 2023 they have a massive chance with the inexperienced Paul Wellens in the hotseat at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
