Only a handful of rugby league players can reach the level where they can comfortably say they’ve achieved it all in the game and instead look for a new challenge in the form of rugby union.

The most recent star of the 13-man code to make the switch was New Zealand Warriors star Roger Tuivasa-Sheck who moved over to chase his dream of wearing an All Blacks shirt.

Tuivasa-Sheck had already achieved most of what was on offer in rugby league with his breakout performances at the 2013 World Cup adding to his NRL title-winning season with Sydney Roosters.

More success in the NRL continued but it didn’t stop his dream of wanting to represent the All Blacks and that was something he pursued from the 2022 season onwards.

Highlighting his incredible ability for all things rugby he made his All Blacks appearance within a year of making the switch but hasn’t taken to the sport as swimmingly as some, prompting suggestions he’ll make a return.

Those suggestions have further heightened now with media in Australia reporting he’ll return to the NRL.

“The rumours I keep hearing is Roger (Tuivasa-Sheck) back to the Chooks. That’s what I keep hearing,” Fletcher said on SEN’s The Run Home with Joel and Fletch.

“I’m not geeing you up, the rumours are getting very, very strong.”

This echoes what the Mole reported late last year as well with his reporting for WWOS that the cross-code star was unhappy.

With the NRL season just over a month away could he make a spectacular return and if he does what club will have the cap space to facilitate him?
