New Zealand All Blacks winger Caleb Clarke has hinted at a potential move to rugby league.
Clarke is just 23 years of age, but made his debut for the All Blacks in 2020 after impressing greatly at club level for the Blues in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.
That link to the 13-man code is even greater when considering that former New Zealand Warriors star Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is among those on the roster at the Blues.
“That’s definitely one thing that I’d love to do,” Clarke told the World Wide of Sports.
“I’m a big Rabbitohs supporter and I talk to the Rabbitohs boys every now and then.
“So yeah, I’d love to and I don’t know when but it’ll definitely be something that I want to tick off as a life goal.”
Of course, Clarke must first navigate the 2023 Rugby World Cup with the wing spot almost certainly up for grabs if his great form in club competition continues.
However, NRL teams will start circling if he makes himself available for a shock code switch – and it will be interesting to see which clubs would declare their interest in the bulldozing winger.
