Air ambulance called to Warrington Wolves’ Halliwell Jones Stadium following urgent incident

An air ambulance had to be called to help a man that needed urgent medical attention at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington.

Emergency services were called to the home of the Warrington Wolves at 10:55am this morning (February 9).

Though the air ambulance was called to the scene, the patient was not taken by the helicopter to hospital, but by road instead.

A spokesperson from the North West Ambulance Service said: “A man suffered a medical episode. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. We were called at 10.55,” Cheshire Live has reported.

“Air ambulance did attend although didn’t convey.

“The patient was taken by road.”

A spokesperson for North West Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We can confirm that North West Air Ambulance Charity were called out to an incident in the Warrington area on Wednesday 9 February, at approximately 11am.”
