Adrian Morley slams Super League club’s recruitment approach

Wakefield Trinity are facing the prospect of a tenth consecutive defeat to start the season today as they take on a Wigan Warriors side who could go top with a win.

Thus, Adrian Morley has said he is “very worried” for the West Yorkshire club.

“Very worried, anyone involved in the club be it spectators or owners would be extremely worried at the minute,” he said on the Last Tackle Podcast.

However, Morley has no sympathies for the club however saying that turning to loam signings is not a good system and breaks down the cohesion in the group.

“I think there was four or five players in on loan who played at the weekend and it’s not great when you’re getting lads in on loan. It doesn’t add to the cohesion of the group.

“Playing Leigh at home you’d think there was a chance of getting a result there only to be nilled by 30 odd points.

“There is no easy games in Super League, we know that, but they’ve got Wigan away next so I think it’s dire at the moment for Wakefield.

“They do need to find some sort of confidence.”

It is a free hit however for Wakefield today who to be fair have left out loan signings Innes Senior and Nathan Mason from their squad.
