Adrian Morley says “it’s dire at the moment” for Super League club

Adrian Morley has said that “it is dire at the moment for Wakefield.”

This comes after Trinity have lost their opening nine games of the season and face a 10th defeat if they can’t defeat Wigan Warriors today who are looking to take top spot away from Warrington Wolves.

Trinity have also failed to score in five games and have failed to score more than a single try at least in seven games of their opening nine games.

Morley is worried for the West Yorkshire club saying on The Last Tackle:

“Very worried, anyone involved in the club be it spectators or owners would be extremely worried at the minute.

“I think there was four or five players in on loan who played at the weekend and it’s not great when you’re getting lads in on loan. It doesn’t add to the cohesion of the group.

“Playing Leigh at home you’d think there was a chance of getting a result there only to be nilled by 30 odd points.”

He then went on to say it is “dire” for the club at present:

“There is no easy games in Super League, we know that, but they’ve got Wigan away next so I think it’s dire at the moment for Wakefield.

“They do need to find some sort of confidence.”
