Zak Hardaker was the match winner against Leeds Rhinos for Leigh Leopards on Saturday as he scored the winning try against the Rhinos.
During the game, he played both centre and fullback both roles he shone in at Leeds and both roles that he has won Grand Finals in.
So, it begs the question where will he play at Leigh?
Given the number one shirt, he could yet start at centre for the Leopards in 2023 according to Adrian Lam.
“He’s the ultimate competitor, he is as good I have seen in terms of competing. Even in training, he wants to win. He is the exact player we want at this club. Where he plays may change, he may be centre, he may be fullback.
“I love having him in the squad. He’s been voted in the leadership group here and he was at a crossroads in his career and he can make Leigh his home for years to come.”
He also has a wider “headache” with regards to the spine:
“It’s a bit of a headache, Ben Reynolds did some good stuff today and he won the game. I can’t give you the answer to that.
“One spot will be Lachlan, the other spot is to be fought for and whether Zak plays at centre or fullback will be decided upon.”
