Adrian Lam confirms some stars will be playing their last game for Wigan

Leigh Leopards head coach Adrian Lam speaks to Sky Sports

Adrian Lam has done it tough with Wigan in 2021.

The Warriors have managed to finish in the top four despite the odds stacked against them regarding injuries as well as bad runs of form, but Lam has steered his side to a home semi-final against Leeds Rhinos this week.

However, the outgoing Wigan boss has revealed that this fixture will be the last game that some of his players will play in a Wigan shirt.

“We’ve got to acknowledge that this game will be the last game for some of our players, but it doesn’t sit at the forefront of our preparation,” Lam said.

“We need to pick the best 17 players and get out there.

“It’ll be farewell for a few, Tommy Leuluai’s future is in the hands of the club and what happens next.

“I’m hopeful; he’s been a great part of our club over the long period of time so I can imagine him staying at the club in some capacity.”

Joe Bullock is set to leave for Warrington whilst there has also been question marks recently over the future of Zak Hardaker.

Rubbish reporting again! Way this is worded it’s as if Wigan won’t go beyond this elimination round!

“this fixture will be the last game that some of his players will play in a Wigan shirt.
“We’ve got to acknowledge that this game will be the last game for some of our players”

    What a pessimistic outlook!!
