Leigh have confirmed they have agreed to release prop Adam Walker with immediate effect, before he’s even made an appearance for the club.
The 29-year-old signed for the Centurions in August ahead of the 2021 season, having been released by Super League Grand Finalists Salford earlier in the year.
He was due to lead their forward pack alongside the likes of other impressive recruits Nathaniel Peteru and Matty Gee but will now not line up for John Duffy’s side.
In a statement, the club said: “Leigh Centurions can confirm that Adam Walker has terminated his contract with the club with immediate effect which the club have accepted.
“The club will seek to replace Adam’s position in the squad as soon as possible.”
