Adam Quinlan has taken up a new coaching role alongside former Leigh Centurions star Blake Wallace.

Wallace, who made just three appearances for Leigh during the 2021 Super League season, has taken on the head coaching role at the Dapto Canaries in Australia.

And, now Quinlan, who himself retired at the end of his Hull KR contract, has joined Wallace in a coaching position at the club.

The diminutive number one had been linked with a move to Leigh himself earlier on in the year after Hull KR’s confirmation that he would not be given another deal.

The 28-year-old was released by the Robins after they signed three-time Grand Final winner Lachlan Coote from St Helens.

That meant that Quinlan’s 68 appearances would not be added to following five years on Humberside.

Quinlan started his career in the NRL with St George Illawarra before a brief spell in Super League with St Helens.

The fullback returned to Australia with the Dragons, but quickly came back to Super League – this time to ply his trade with Rovers.

Wallace, meanwhile, spent four seasons at the Toronto Wolfpack, making 75 appearances for the Canadian club.
