Adam Hills to return to Channel 4’s coverage of Super League this weekend

Here it comes! Channel 4 is back on our television with one last Super League game live!

St Helens host the Salford Red Devils on Saturday afternoon with a lunchtime kick-off at 1pm, with the build-up starting at 12.30pm.

The line-ups continue to impress the avid viewer with host Adam Hills set to return after taking part in the Physical Disability Rugby League, Serious About Rugby League understands.

Also, features will include a behind the scenes look at the Salford Red Devils, Try of the Season and a Super League History montage, so it promises to be an extravaganza of rugby league on terrestrial television – what more could the viewer want!

And, it’s safe to say that it’s not just fans that are over the moon with the new exposure on a different channel, with St Helens head coach Kristian Woolf saying yesterday just how great it is to be on terrestrial television.

“I think they’ve done a good job, it’s a bit different than Sky,” Woolf said.

“I think Brian Carney and Phil Clarke do a great job, their commentary is always good.

“But, Channel 4 has given something a bit different, you’ve got Fox Sports and Channel Nine in the NRL with different voices and opinions.

“They (Channel 4) have added a difference, the fact we are on terrestrial TV gives us a new audience. I hope the weather holds up and allows both teams to play footy.

“Our fans have been outstanding this year and we need them to turn out and give a great spectacle on TV.”

It remains to be seen whether it will be Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, St Helens or Salford that make it to the Super League Grand Final in 11 days, but we are in for one hell of a ride to get there!
