Two Super League players banned

Adam Higson banned

Leigh Centurions’ winger Adam Higson has been banned for five matches after he was found guilty of a Grade E high tackle.

Higson was sent off for the hit on Salford’s Gareth O’Brien at St James’ Park on Sunday and will now miss a crucial stage of the season for Neil Jukes’ side.

Elsewhere, Catalans forward Greg Bird pleaded not guilty to standing on an opponent during the Dragons defeat to Huddersfield at Magic Weekend.

He was found guilty of the Grade B charge and has been banned for one match, meaning he will miss his sides clash against Salford on Friday.
