There always comes a time when rugby league players need to think about their futures after the sport.

For some, it means staying in the sport, but for others it could take on a whole new direction.

For former Leeds Rhinos forward Adam Cuthbertson, he has earned his Masters Degree in Sports Directorship as well as setting up his own business, LowCal lager.

After receiving his Degree certificate, Cuthbertson said: “Each and every accomplishment starts with a decision to try! 👨🏻‍🎓

“Finally, after a very long and challenging couple of years I managed to complete a Masters Degree in Sports Directorship 🍻 “.

As any university student will know, getting a degree is difficult, but getting a Masters takes an incredible amount of effort and dedication – and this is all whilst playing part-time for the York City Knights and full-time for the Leeds Rhinos.

Cuthbertson, 36, joined Rhinos ahead of the 2015 season and was a Man of Steel nominee that year when Leeds won the treble of the Challenge Cup, League Leaders’ Shield and Super League title.

The powerful Australian also enjoyed a stellar spell as coach of Rhinos’ women’s side, winning the Challenge Cup twice, League Leaders’ Shield and Grand Final.
