Adam Cooper Rugby League

A minute’s silence will be held at every Rugby League game this weekend for amateur player Adam Cooper who tragically passed away on Saturday.

The 31-year-old was playing at Runcorn for his team Culcheth Eagles when he was taken from the field after feeling unwell.

An ambulance was called for Cooper but he died and short while later. A Just Giving page has been set up for the father of three which has raised £9,600 so far.

A RFL statement read: “The Rugby Football League are saddened by the news of the death of Culcheth Eagles player Adam Cooper; our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

“As a mark of respect, a minute’s silence will be observed before every Rugby League game across all competitions this week in memory of Adam.”
