A tale of two St Helens stars: Kristian Woolf names Tonga squad as ex-Warrington Wolves man features

Kristian Woolf has named his 19-man Tongan squad for their clash with Wales at the Totally Wicked Stadium in St Helens as his side look to secure their place in the quarter-finals.

It’s a tale of two St Helens stars with Konrad Hurrell named in the 19-man squad after missing the last game.

Meanwhile, his St Helens teammate and fellow Super League Champion Will Hopoate is still absent, as expected, through injury with Woolf expecting him back next week against the Cook Islands and certainly the knockouts.

Tui Lolohea, after starring in the terrific win over Papua New Guinea in a game of the tiurbament contender, is again named.

Vice-captain and Catalans bound forward Siosiua Taukeiaho is named again and will lead the side with Jason Taumalolo still absent.

Star from the PNG win, Will Penisini features again whilst former Warrington Wolves and Salford Red Devils man Ben Murdoch-Masila is again named in the 19-man squad after not being selected against Papua New Guinea last week.

Sydney Roosters’ star winger Daniel Tupou will again be a real attraction as will Gold Coast Titans’ David Fifita.
