A huge seven NRL stars could be set for Super League switch as exits loom

Last week, two Super League clubs were tipped by Zero Tackle to make a move for NRL star Matt Lodge.

The 28-year-old is looking for a new club and though there will be plenty of suitors down under, Super League clubs will be monitoring the situation.

However, he isn’t the only Rooster likely to leave.

In fact, according to the Mole of Wide World of Sports centre Billy Smith, utilities Connor Watson and Drew Hutchinson, number nine Jake Turpin, winger Jaxson Paulo and forward Nathan Brown could all depart the club opening the door for Super League clubs to swoop in and secure their signatures.

In terms of Lodge’s future, the Australian publication claimed that Warrington Wolves would be the mostly likely Super League club to make a move for him with Leeds Rhinos a close second.

The Rhinos have been open about looking for a new forward. Sam Walters is set to join Wigan Warriors at the end of the year after all.

As for Warrington, they lost Thomas Mikaele earlier this year and the future of Josh McGuire is up in the air.

They are looking for immediate signings according to coach Daryl Powell and have been linked with Josh Kerr in the past as well as Wakefield Trinity’s Kelepi Tanginioa.

Lodge would likely not come immediately but would be a great addition for 2024.

Hull FC were another side mentioned by Zero Tackle. They are losing Chris Satae at the end of the season as they undergo a rebuild.
