Huddersfield half-back Danny Brough faces two separate charges for dangerous contact following the Giants defeat against Castleford on Thursday.
The Scottish international was sent to the sin-bin for a tackle below the knees in the final 10 minutes of the game, and he faces a possible ban for this and another act of dangerous play.
With no early guilty plea available for the respective grade B and C charges, Brough could miss some crucial matches at an important stage of the season.
Elsewhere, struggling Leigh face the prospect of losing forward Jamie Acton for a few weeks after he was also charged with grade B dangerous contact (no EGP available).
Widnes forward Gil Dudson and Catalans back Vincent Duport have been charged with Grade A offences, however both have their EGP available and are likely to escape bans.
