Oliver Roberts has hit out at a rumour that has been spreading that he will be moving to Halifax.
The initial tweet from TheGameCaller read: “The Halifax Panthers recruitment drive for 2022 continues with the West Yorkshire club close to signing Oliver Roberts on a season-long loan from the Huddersfield Giants. He has spent the last two seasons on loan at the Salford Red Devils. #HalifaxBigTen #RugbyLeague“.
But, Roberts – who is also an Irish international – has hit back saying: “First I have heard of it”.
Roberts is currently at Huddersfield, who have enjoyed a recruitment spree in recent times with the likes of Theo Fages, Tui Lolohea, Chris Hill and Danny Levi all joining the club.
The 26-year-old has made 95 appearances for Huddersfield since joining from Bradford.
