7 players set to leave Hull KR – as things stand

Hull KR Willie Peters

Hull KR continue to take strides forward under Willie Peters.

The Robins missed the chance to move within two points of league leaders Wigan Warriors at the weekend but they know a derby win this weekend over Hull FC could give them the boost they need heading into the Super League run in.

The Red and Whites have announced the signing of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves for 2025, but before the Sydney Roosters superstar arrives in east Hull, they have some decisions to make in terms of player retention.

A handful of players have already seen their exits at the end of the season confirmed, but there are some who are facing uncertain futures. Here’s a look at every player due to leave Craven Park as it stands.

A regular since joining Rovers from Bradford Bulls in 2020, Storton has made 93 appearances for the club, scoring nine tries along the way. However, according to Hull Live, the 25-year-old was subject to interest from Wakefield Trinity earlier in the season with KR allowing  him to explore his options. An exit could well be on the cards this winter then.

Harvey Moore

Moore has been unfortunate in his fledgling career so far having missed the entire 2023 season due to a knee injury. He has been involved in the reserve team this season but it remains to be seen if he will be kept on  beyond the end of his contract.

Lennie Ellis

The hooker joined Whitehaven on an initial two-week loan last week, alongside AJ Wallace, and he’ll be keen to show promise as he looks to extend his stay with the Robins. He’s made one senior appearance for KR to date.

Reiss Butterworth

Butterworth joined Rovers during the off-season after impressing with Dewsbury Rams in the Championship. However, he hasn’t quite made a mark at Craven Park with his only game time this season coming during loans at London Broncos, Featherstone Rovers and Dewsbury. The club do have the option to extend the 25-year-old’s contract by another year.

Connor Barley

Barley’s future is still very much up in the air as he approaches the end of his contract in East Yorkshire. The outside back  has made four appearances for the Robins but his last outing for the club came in August last year. He has made three appearances with Featherstone so far this season.

Matt Parcell

Parcell has confirmed that this season will be his last with the Robins, bringing an end to his five and a half year stay at Craven Park. The  31-year-old’s next step is yet to be confirmed but his exit will be an emotional one for those KR fans who have  seen him excel in a KR shirt since joining from Leeds Rhinos in 2019.

Ryan Hall

Super League’s all-time top try scorer will end his career where it started as he prepares to re-join Leeds Rhinos. He’s been with Rovers since 2021 and he’ll be determined to end his time at the club on a high.
