3 Clubs target Fifita Jr.

This morning it has been revealed that three Sydney based NRL clubs are looking to sign Brisbane Broncos young gun David Fifita jr. once he is off-contract on November 1st.

The three clubs displayed interest are the Sydney Roosters, South Sydney Rabbitohs and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

For the Roosters to obtain the Queensland representative’s services they will need to let some upcoming off-contract players go, and with the club also reportedly targeting Jai Arrow, this deal may not go through.

The Rabbitohs are likely targeting the Bronco due to the club’s loss in experience and ability in John Sutton and if Sam Burgess is forced to retire, this will not only free up a spot in the forward pack, but free up cap space too.

The Bulldogs are reported to have an absolute war chest, with Fifita rumoured to be apart of a $14,000,000 trifecta attempt by the Bulldogs to lure the second-rower and the Trbojevic brothers to Belmore.
